Uniform Information

At Mountfield Primary School we encourage all pupils to look smart and be well dressed.  It is expected that all pupils wear the full school uniform - this is a school requirement.  This includes a royal blue sweatshirt, dark grey or black trousers/pain leggings (this does not include tracksuit bottoms or jeans)/ skirt, a white polo shirt and suitable dark school shoes.  A pinafore summer dress in royal blue may also be worn. There is no requirement to wear uniform with the school logo as this is optional.

Sweatshirts, cardigans and polo shirts, all with the school badge, are available from Tots to Teams and must be ordered from them via their website: totstoteams. Please note, uniform delivery is free if sent to school rather than your home address. Generic items can be bought from alternative retailers if preferred.

Parents are requested to ensure that their children's clothing is suitable both for the time of year and for the activities that the children are likely to follow.

On your child's class PE day, pupils are allowed to wear black trainers without a logo on, a white t-shirt or polo shirt, plain black leggings or tracksuit bottoms and the school jumper.

On your child's forest school day, clothing should be appropriate to the weather and consist of sturdy shoes you don't mind getting muddy, plain leggings/tracksuit bottoms, school jumper and a coat appropriate to the weather.

Occasionally, the school has some items of 2nd hand uniform. Please see Sam Hall, Family Support Officer, if there is any available.

Make up, painted finger nails and hair accessories are not allowed. Please tie long hair back with a simple hair tie and avoid hair cuts with tram lines.

Earrings are not allowed. This includes retainers or small studs. If your child would like their ears pierced, please do this at the beginning of the summer holidays so their ears have time to heal before returning to school in September.

If a child does come to school with earrings, they will not be permitted to participate in any physical activity, including break and lunch times, until the earrings have been removed.
